I can imagine it must be disorienting not to recognize yourself anymore. It must be exhausting to waste your brain space on food. I’m sure it is frustrating not to be able to trust your body to tell you what to eat.
I get it. Because I have been there and I am in it with you. I know that change is scary and disorienting. I know what it feels like not to have answers and that’s why I changed careers and went back to school and got my Masters in Nutrition.
My Philosophy
I am excited to get to know you and be your partner on this nutrition and wellness journey. Since each one of us is unique and different, I want to use your innate wisdom about your body and your life to help you find the tools to be successful.
I want you to be nourished and have a healthy relationship with food that is free from shame and diet culture. I want to help guide you towards eating competently and intuitively and develop the tools to allow you do this without me. Ultimately, I want to see you thrive and I will help you progress towards eating more whole foods and finding a joyful way to move your body, to allow you to fulfill your own unique goals.
This is not a “Diet” From my own personal history at a very young age, as well as the history of millions of others, I can attest to the failure of diets. Dieting is not only counter-productive but will also lead to swings in body weight which are considerably more harmful to one’s health than carrying excess body weight. In addition, we are all born with different shapes and sizes and that is yet another aspect of what makes each of us unique. I value the diversity of different body sizes as another aspect that makes each of us unique.
